The Vessels of Sea Scouting

Sea Scouting in the United States uses as many different types of water craft as there are boats. Sea Scouts get out on the water in boats as small as tiny dinghies all the way up to ex-Coast Guard cutters. Take a look at just a few of the vessels Sea Scouts operate.

There are at least three ways that boat owners can help Sea Scouts:

  • Volunteer to help lead or organize a Sea Scout Ship (unit) in your community;
  • Make your vessel available for taking Sea Scouts on training cruises; and
  • Consider donating your vessel to Sea Scouting thru a Ship's Chartered Organization ("Sponsor") or local Scout Council.
  • Click here to find Sea Scout Ships in your area, or
    Click here to find the Scout council if your area.
