Bruce Chr. Johnson

Commodore Bruce Johnson Bruce Chr. Johnson is Skipper Emeritus of S.S.S. Columbia Ranger, Ship 361 in Columbia, Maryland; Commodore, Sea Scouting, Northeast Region; and a member of the Sea Scout Support Committee. Commodore Johnson is a 42-year veteran of the Boy Scouts of America and holds the Eagle Scout rank, Silver Antelope, the William Spurgeon, III Award, the National Venturing Leadership Award, as well as the Presbyterian God and Service and Quaker Friends Emblem honors. The Commodore led the Northeast Region Exploring contingent to the 1995 World Jamboree in the Netherlands, and has served on seven National Jamboree staffs. He chaired the Sea Scout exhibits at the 1989, 1993, and 1997 National Jamborees. Most recently he led a crew of American Sea Scouts on long cruise to the Swedish archepelego with Swedish Sea Scouts.
